AVID Site Team Conference (Morgan Hill) Register Online 12/3/2010
Description: AVID Site Team Conference

Keynote Address will be delivered by Allison Master, a Stanford University Ph.D. candidate and student of Mindset author, Dr. Carol Dweck. The focus of Ms. Master's address will be on social cognitive development & student motivation. When students believe intelligence is something that can be grown, rather than something fixed, they show greater motivation. Site teams will examine the ideas presented by Ms. Master and identity strategies that can be applied to foster student motivation.

The conference will also provide time for AVID site team members to collaborate around the progress of their site plan and other elective and schoolwide activities. This will also be an excellent opportunity to network with other site teams, including those from feeder and destination schools.
